I'll be staying in most likely, getting drunk and playing Call Of Duty with some friends.

I went to two parties in the last week where I convinced people I didn't know to eat a whole Oxo cube in front of me.

My friends usually have a little party thing, nothing huge or wild. Just sit, eat drink, talk etc...

My sister-in-law is getting married around 11:00 AM on New Year's Eve so we'll be up in Atlanta for that. After that, I'd imagine we will come home and have few drinks and watch football.

i've been going out to lunch on NYE with a bunch of local high school coaches hanging out till about 9pm then calling it a night

To then wake up at 6am to get to my local bar at 7am for a very long day and night of breakfast lunch and dinner with booze betting and watching bowl games

Not as bad as having a destination wedding in the Caribbean, but still a pretty douchey manoeuvre. Well, actually, it's only douchey if they whine about people not showing up.

Actually they are basically having an immediate family only ceremony at a restaurant. They met on New Year's Eve so that's why the date. I can assure you that no one in attendance cares about the New Year's Eve thing especially since the festivities will be over by 2:00 PM or so.

I have to work until 8, then I'm heading to a party..

A few beers and a cigar or two is how I intend on ringing in the new year. I'm not a huge smoker, but anyone who thinks tobacco stinks, probably doesn't know what fun is (Which for me, is about three full tables of texas hold em in a smoke filled den with plenty of beers and snacks, and a decent pot to take home once I win again..

I was going to go to an event St Louis does called First Night. It's a free event(some parts do charge). It's a family type party, I think they do fireworks as well.

But, it's starting to snow and it's already getting slick. Not going to drive down to the city with the drunks and slick roads.

Maybe going to watch a movie and do dinner at a local place.
